KSearch Stages 2012 Mid-Year Kick-Off

KSearch Asia Consulting, Inc. held its Mid-year Kick-Off last July 6, 2012 -- packed with vigorous presentations, awarding, and announcement of promotions.   Challenged by bold revenue targets each Practice Area faces through the end of the year, the Kick-Off organizers -- led by Ms. Karmeli Kintanar, Vice President -- came up with an inspirational theme which featured the donning by each one of a Justice League/Super hero costume. The idea is for each one in KSearch, moving forward, to summon her and his “super powers” to overcome all “villains” (i.e., constraints) to meet or even exceed targets in executive recruitment and/or in other related Philippine battle ground, so to speak.  Each “super KSearch hero” would thus complement each other’s strengths, thus forming a formidable, unbeatable force with no weak link in between.

Each practice group tried to outdo each other with their demonstration of their distinctive individual and group “powers” through “cosplay” – Captain America, Batman, Black Widow, Jean Gray, Storm, Professor X, et al.   Then each group concluded what looked and sounded like their “war dances and battles cries” with each group leader announcing their respective battle plans for achieving targets.

Mr. Roni Balbieran, economist, researcher and former instructor at the University of Asia and the Pacific, sparked the kick-off event with an update of his economic briefing to the KSearch team.   Picking off from his last economic briefing presented to the KSearch Team last January, he wittingly referred to the Philippine Economy in its current state as like the “Starship” and then quickly went back to the “Bathtub” analogy, spewing practical, real-life illustrations in quick succession.

The other highlights of the Kick-Off were the announcements of two staff promotions and two special citations.   Evie Galera of the ICT Practice Area is now an Associate Consultant, while Angelito Ganitano of the Finance Practice Area is now a Research Associate.  Jen Alba was given a special citation for having helped establish a full-fledged IT practice area for KSearch.  Similarly, a special citation was given to Verna Austria, Communications Consultant, recognizing her quick successes in her solid online branding strategy for KSearch.
